Dear B. Bernice Young School Families:
The YSFA (Young School Family Association) is excited for the upcoming school year and would like to welcome the new families who are joining our school this year!  Our goal is to ensure that our children receive the best learning experience by working together with the teachers and staff at the B. Bernice Young School.   This partnership will build a better educational environment for our children. 

One key role of the YSFA is to provide services and programs, while another is the sponsoring of events throughout the school year.  In order to provide these events, we need to conduct fundraisers.  We are extremely thankful for the support of our fundraisers from our Young School families.  Once again this year, we are sponsoring two Scholastic Book Fairs, a Fun Day, Field Trips, a Holiday Shop and several Family Fun Nights.

 

Without your support and devotion to our school, we would not be able to provide these fabulous events to our children.  We cannot wait to meet you and see you at these events!

The YSFA will do our very best to communicate what is happening at school whether it be via email or information sent home in your child’s school folder.   Please look for further information to follow in the first week of school.  We will be sending home forms for the YSFA Membership, Code of Conduct and Homeroom Parents, as well as the YSFA Calendar Events for the 2011-12 school year.

We welcome and encourage anyone who would be willing to volunteer at school or at any of our sponsored events.  We look forward to working with you and implementing our theme of “Partnering with Parents for a Better Tomorrow!”  The YSFA has a mailbox in the main office for correspondence.
